Appearing in “The Stilt-man Cometh!”
After Daredevil steers a bomb-rigged sedan off a pier, his investigation crosses paths with Wilbur Day’s skyscraping alter-ego, Stilt-Man. While Nelson & Murdock represent inventor Carl Kaxton in a patent dispute that secretly fuels Day’s crime spree, the hydraulic-legged thief hijacks a payroll helicopter and stalks Manhattan’s rooftops. Daredevil infiltrates the telescoping armor, wrecks its controls and shrinks the collapsing stilts with Kaxton’s molecular condenser—plunging Stilt-Man into the Hudson and ending his lofty larceny. The victory leaves Karen Page worrying about a risky surgery that could restore Matt’s sight, even as the Man Without Fear proves that balance and brains can topple a towering foe.
